RAVE Coffee's agency reports a 78% rise in AI-referred sales

UK agency The SEO Works reports a 78% uplift in sales directly attributed to AI referrals for a coffee brand, shown on the case study by the RAVE Coffee logo. ChatGPT accounted for more than 95% of those AI-driven transactions.

  • 78%uplift in sales directly attributed to AI referrals
  • 95%+of AI-driven transactions came from ChatGPT
  • 36.5%year-on-year rise in AI-assisted conversions

What the agency did

The SEO Works audited the content and mapped what shoppers were looking for, then broke each product, category and guide page into clear blocks that AI tools and search engines can lift as answers. It strengthened signs of expertise, such as product knowledge, origin information and real-world experience, and added a page for the brand's café.

It also reviewed the site's structured data with a plan to support FAQs and product details, linked brewing guides, blends and educational content together, and suggested ways to earn more brand mentions in forums. Custom tracking separated visits from AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini, so AI revenue could be reported for the first time.

The results

Within twelve months, AI referrals grew from a small starting point to a steady source of traffic, with a 91% engagement rate. AI-assisted conversions rose 36.5% year on year, site searches rose 182% and product quiz completions rose 247%.

Sales directly attributed to AI referrals rose 78%, and ChatGPT made up more than 95% of AI-driven transactions. AI shoppers tended to buy higher-value items such as espresso machines, gift subscriptions and brewing gear, and the brand's signature blend became the top AI-attributed product, with sales up 900% year on year.

What other stores can take from this

  1. Break pages into clear answers. The agency split product and guide pages into blocks that AI tools can quote.
  2. Show where your products come from. Origin details and real expertise were added to build trust.
  3. Track AI on its own. Custom tracking let the brand see AI visits, conversions and revenue apart from normal search for the first time.

Worth knowing: This is an agency case study we rate low on trust. The brand appears only as a logo, the text says "this leading coffee brand", the 78% has no starting figure, and no one at the brand is quoted.
